I came across this fiscal stamp while sorting through some stamps filed as 'Iraq'. Can anyone identify this revenue stamp for me? I would be interested to know it's years of use, how many different values would be in a set of these stamps and what those values are. Catalogue reference would also be helpful.

Of course Vayolene you are correct, it is French. I knew that and suppose what I really meant to say was a stamp with Latin and Arabic character inscriptions.

Definitely Lebanon. Almost identical in design to Sc C69, an airmail stamp from the 1937-40 issue of ten stamps.

The Donald Duston catalogue - French Colonies - lists this as having been issued in 1954, together with 2 piastre and 20 piastre values with the same design. Paul Koroleff designed many stamps for Lebanon so it's no surprise to find his name on revenues of that period.
