Mint never hinged imperforated block of four.

Doesn't appear to be listed Scott, Gibbons, Michel or COB.

Anyone have any information?

Is this truly NH with shiny yellowish gum and not just smooth surfaced paper with no gum? If no gum, then it's a proof.

Further, the issued stamp is in a very deep violet/purple. The scan here shows as dark brown to me. In that case, it's a color trial.

Either one makes sense to me since Waterlow released a lot of proofs and color trials from their archives.

It is mentioned in the COB/OBP but just one line of text.

Basicly it says: all 16 values of the series mnh in a complete set cat value about 15 times the normal stamps. So it only gives a cat value for the series not for individual stamps.

It is Mint Never Hinged with shiny gum. It is the same color and paper as the perforated stamps.

Cherrystone had a full set of 16 in MNH imperf pairs in their November 2013 auction which did not sell.
