Poll Question:
So here we have a 499 or 500? It seems as my research is inconclusive and comes dow to the eye of the beholder. You make the call??

Choices:
499
500

Neither one. It looks to me like an offset printed Type Va, perf 11 which makes it a 528. 499 and 500 were not offset printed.

The poll is pointless.

Stamp identification is not arbitrary or a matter of opinion. If you believe it is, then you don't know enough about identifying stamps. This stamp is an offset printed stamp, as others have said. I vote for 'other'.

Stamp identification can only be a matter of opinion when there is a question concerning some aspect such as printing ink color, or perforations.

Identification of method of printing comes with a little experience...and with a good magnifying glass if there is any question.
