Apparently I'm having issues with the photo size. Be patient with me. There are 100s so obviously can't post them all and I don't want to take up everyone's time. And yes, I'll look up what I can. I know they are just worth like a dollar each but I enjoy the info and will put them away.

Girl57,

I see your stamps are on post cards. You have some treasures there beyond the stamps themselves. Please consider leaving them on the cards and collecting the entire item. Used stamps on the item they carried through the mails are postal history. Not only are the most common stamps more valuable when on the item they carried. they tell a story about who used them.

My grandmother gave me several post cards back in 1960 that she received from he cousin in her youth. They were postmarked at her father's post office. He ran a rural Indiana general store and was postmaster at its local post office, a counter in his store.

Collecting for the enjoyment of collecting, whatever that might be, is the name of the game. Don't hesitate to ask questions especially if you need basic information and especially more advanced sources of information for any possible topic. You should be able to find folks on this board a little further along on their collecting journey glad to share experiences. Russ

Thank you everyone for the welcome and the tips. I'm grateful for the kindness. I would not remove the stamps from the post cards either. The cards are the sweetest vintage pieces. I love reading them... those that aren't super tiny.
