Been using 2012 specialized and just upgraded to 2022 edition.

What used to be 222TC6 on wove seems to have disappeared. for that matter all 222TC's disappeared.

222P4a on stamp paper which has obvious color variations is now 222P5 with only dk brown listed.

I just some purchased "222TC5a" in several color variations from Wm Lang. I dont see that number in either catalog. Apparently this are all now 222P4a? I'm working with them right now as most if not all were mis-described. Looks like I will also have to work with them on dropping the price even more as the supposed TC5a were cat val $450 and P4a's are$210. I guess Im very glad I just got the new catalog so I dont get stuck overpaying.

I have a 222TC6? black brown on wove that seems to have disappeared altogether. Scotts only shows wove paper as Roosevlelt or Pamama Pcific, but my example is cut to single size. BTW it is gumless, where the stamped paper ones are all gummed. It's pretty hard to actually see the paper on gummed stamps.

On a positive note I had sent Scott's an email years ago about 148-E6 and 148-E11 having the pictures wrong and they are corrected now. Major sellers sold many of these mis-described.

Scott reorganized the TC, Die and Plate proof section a while ago.

There are 222TC entries in the 2022 Specialized, page 946, left column, bottom fifth.

And yes 222TC5a, 222TC5b and 222TC5c are grouped together with 222TC1e above.

Thanks,

I'm used to T being after P in the alphabet, not before like in the catalog. . That prob why I didnt see it.

Can anyone confirm that the TC5 on wove is not gummed?
