Hi all, I mainly collect the George V 1935 Silver Jubilee. I have mint & used of all countries in the Commonwealth, also quite a lot of blocks of 4, pairs, strips etc. I have recently started to expand my collection to include covers that were commercially used & postmarked between 6th.May & 31st.December 1935. If there are any postal history collectors out there I would be grateful for any pictures or scans of any different postmarks between the above dates. Especially slogans or automated machine cancels. Thank you Merv

Merv, first off, welcome to the forum. In your post you did not mention any particular country. So I take it you looking for any from any commonwealth country. I would think that would yield an almost endless assortment.

That is a vast amount of information you are asking for. Perhaps you should look at the issues of the BNAPS slogan study group newsletter - now defunct - at https://bnaps.org/hhl/n-slgn.htmThere may be some info there that will be of use. It is freely available AQ |

You may wish to clarify exactly what you seek, only Canada? Only on Silver Jubilee stamps? etc. A few random from my pot-pourri Useful maybe, if you are making a database, scans are poor. Comments? The Silver Jubilee is a nice issue. What's the connection between it and you, that made it such a focus for you? |

I was starting out collecting stamps, saw this Jubilee series & was hooked on it . Great designs and colours . All round an excellent issue. From an era when they used to engrave plates & print, not like now when it is mainly done on computer. |

Totally agreed with Merv on this. Absolutely well designed stamp, especially the Commonwealth Omnibus Series. I start into looking for the various undocumented varieties and have managed to find some so far.
