i picked up a book at Orapex titled "Money in Stamps" written by James A. Mackay and published in England. Its not what you might think..not a get rich scheme...its common sense ..what to do, what not to do to build a respectable collection..its a shame we start collecting first and then begin to study the hobby later on..you can ask questions of veteran collectors ...but you also have to READ !!

James A. Mackay is a powerhouse in philatelic knowledge.
I have his "Stamp facts and feats" on my desk all the time.
His work is dated now at 1980, and I know of no one else
carrying on his very fine tradition.
I'll have to keep an eye open for that book of yours, never heard of it prior to now.

Bill Hornadge from Aust has a work out of similar theme, but have not read it.

Indeed Phil,
SCF is a pool of wisdom, and we can all come and take a sip
once in while along with a chuckle or two.

I shall Google James book, although postage down under usually
kills literature.
