2d Scarlet KGVI Die II issued August 1, 1938. The issue of the Die II stamp coincided with the introduction of the new perforating machine gauging 14.75 x 14.

MUH, this vertical pair is the very scarce medal flaw variety, listed as 184b in Stanley Gibbons and 188e in the ACSC (Australian Commonwealth Specialists' Catalogue).

The lower stamp has the variety.

Hi Cjd

The scarlet stamp with the medal flaw is seldom seen in this condition, there is also a mauve stamp with the medal flaw (1941).

Rob. That is a very nice piece. I've been looking for one of those for quite some while. Not yet, but I'll find it. Thanks for posting.

Hi Partime

Thanks, hope you find one, it took me quite awhile to find this little gem, now to find the 1941 mauve medal flaw variety.
