Seriously impressive to say the least and makes me chafe a bit at the S&H costs of US auction houses for regular service.
I won a lot from Philatelia Fischer in Rome. Talk about a flawless transaction. The kicker though as per the subject title is that they ship via UPS Express International for a flat 15 Euros and it is actually THAT fast.
I don't know, I'm dubious. Not at the fact that it got there, but at the need. These companies need to understand that we don't care how fast it gets here as long as they fix the cracks in their system so you don't have mail just disappearing for 3 months. Lately postcards have been getting to Europe in a week from here in California. And at the same time a card I sent to a friend in my state didn't get to him for 3 weeks. We want regularity, not super fast speed! Quality over quantity. I don't know I'm babbling
I won a 3 Volume Scott International collection from Sandafayre. The mail sale closed at 1 PM on Tuesday and they notified me 1 hour later that I'd won and they would charge my cc on record and ship. They charged me $100 for shipping and I had my collection the following Tuesday. Some domestic firms don't do nearly as well.
PS. They sold me the collection for 3 increments less than my max bid. This was an excellent transaction all around.
Great to hear Ken. I have dealt with them for many years, back to the 1990's. Used to buy carton lots from them and was always happy. The good old days when the cost to ship two heavy cartons full of old albums was under $40.
