Ninhao, we may start referring to you as the Wert of Australia. Wert is no longer with us, but he had a passion for discovering the smallest of details in Canadian stamps.

All of that aside, concerning the "9's" I believe that you have a few paper issues, sometimes called "Hickies" or just smudges. The A certainly looks deformed, and I believe that some of the KGV stamps have filled in or deformed A's, so you have a chance with those.

Keep on looking.

Thanks Partime. I enjoyed looking into details of stamps, especially the Australian KGV HEADS series. I have many of these KGV HEADS, bought in bundle of 100s in the 1990s. I only have time to start scanning and look into these KGV HEADS since 2019. It is a slow and laborious activities, but is rewarding and fun. Hope to be able to share more in this forum in the near future.

I bought the BW (Brusden White) KGV Australian Commonwealth Specialist Catologue Edition 2001 years ago, simply for the purpose as references for known and listed varieties.

There will always be many more unknown varieities to be found. I'm concentrating on the minor varieties and/or oneoff abnormalities. The major or prominent varieties are already listed and well documentated. It's the minor which is more interesting (I hope).

Have a good day.
