Hello,

Can anyone pls help with the cover shown?
Its sent to Finland from Sweden (hassleholm postmark on 25 Jun 40) and bears a Borja/ Porvoo postmark dated 29 Jul 40 on the reverse.
censor stamp applied as shown.
is this from the Winter war? or a regular world war 2 cover and censor?

Winter war covers would of been be sent from Finland between 30 nov 1939 -12 mar 1940.Your cover has the standard finnish censor band (letter opened) and the purple box censor
These would be a standard wwII censor cover .
The lion comes in different types.Shaded (as on your cover) and a un shaded type.
They exist in colors also; salmon,yellow (rarer)
