Would someone please explain to me how to differentiate between the 1923-25 issues and those of 1927-33.
Specifically I have a 1 santims violet.

Great resort here Tony - I am just re-starting "old" Latvia (used only).

In your case it is different watermarks.

you have them under Latvia~Russian occupation,
I have them under Russia~North Western Army (Stanley Gibbons)
I'll flag it under Latvia.

I would like those scans Tony - I am not certain yet if they do qualify as Latvia though - more investigation is required.

This strange fellow may turn up occaisionally
in floor sweepings.

I may be wrong, but I think it is allied to the
Russian North West Army. (propaganda stamp/label)
