Belgium, 1858. Check Sc 11, Mi 8, Yv 11.
The denomination is 20 centimes, not 20 Postes (that's just "Postage"). |

Bosnia and Herzegovina Tip:Save the image with text string "double eagle" or "double eaglet" and you will always find it. |

Since you've run into a couple of these recently, may I ask you to also try: https://stampencyclopedia.miraheze....er_Main_Page(no ads, non-commercial) It's in early beta stage, but (I think) could have helped you find the last three items you showed. Anyone else is welcome to check it out. So far I've had one noncollector figure out the method with flying colors; a supposed experienced collector not so well. Your comments/criticisms are appreciated. That's a nice Belgium stamp, by the way. |

I'm not trying to reinvent the wheel here, only slightly . For one, the Bosnia & Herzegovina's there but not stamps4life's Belgium. Do you truly expect people today with low attention spans to crawl through the entire guide only to NOT find what they were searching for? Well then, your stamp isn't real or isn't a stamp and you should tear it up. The old guides are ancient and quite incomplete. The identifier in the Scott catalog is a very small improvement over that. There is at least one image recognition system but that doesn't work very well for used stamps. My methodology takes a little brain power but it works and will work better than anything you can present today until image recognition gets some significant AI. Try it with stamps4life's stamps or any postage stamp ID question that's come along recently. |

All good ideas. I have found 1 or 2 by using the ID pages in the Scott catalogs. Its a narrow choice understandably - but a resource. I have also saved pages before of countries on interest and I think have some with the B & H stamps. But I have not figured a good way to keep track of the info - yet! Rod gave me a good idea on tagging. Have to work on it. Also - thank you for the stamp encyclopedia link. I am going to check it out too. Many thanks to all. |

Its a neat tool. For this one (Sc 3 ) I turned to google - "lion stamp with Cyrillic " and up comes Bulgaria stamps. Wow. I wanted to upload this one. I saw what looked link a link but its not active for me - I couldn't get it to work. I know you said the site is still in dev. so maybe thats why. Tks again. EDIT: So it may not be Sc3 - I do not see any stars in the circle on either side of the Lion. Investigating. The 25C do not have the stars |
