Scott Albums Looking For Someone To Create Album Pages

In this week's Linn's there was an article on someone interesting in creating album pages for Scott Album line.

They also have a survey but the link did not work for me,

Is there a question in here?

If I were looking for a job, I'd make a real effort to contact the employer even if the link didn't work. You know, phone them or whatever it takes.

I don't think Al's looking for a job - he's simply bringing Scott's search for album page designers to our attention. There plainly isn't a "question".

There was no question. The survey question was more interesting.

I do not likely herald a new era for Scott (Amos) on how they produce or sell album pages.

The "survey" consisted of one box to type in a comment as to what you would like to see for new pages. That's it.

Why do they use the term contractor instead of designer? Do they expect the same people to print them too? I haven't tried to read the article.

"Contractor" meaning an outside designer, not going to be an Amos employee.

Sounds like Scott/Amos Pub. is behind the curve here . They should of been doing this 10 to 15 years ago . Steiner pages are now the lead album makers in the business ,the make your own pages is now the way to go for both beginners and experience collectors .

Years ago Amos should of bought out the Steiner Pages , Now there are too many copies of the Steiner Pages out there ,I believe I have 3 copies of DVD's , because if Amos gets control they will increase the purchase price or break the DVD down into country sections to recover and profit for their purchase .

Just for the record ----- I have a hole punch set to the Scott Int'l binders hole pattern so I can add Steiner pages to my Internationals and that works find .

To me, contractor means paid by page arrangement (no work no pay) and maybe you have to work as an intendent contractor - so no W2.

Palo already purchased Steiner's work and redid it on larger paper but they are not selling them at bargain prices. Someone sells Steiner pages under license from Steiner on Scott size paper too.

Palo does seem to market them better than Scott or maybe I just notice their ads more.
