The smallest stamps are well known from Bolivar a provanse of Columbia in 1863, but what is the largest stamp produced for regular postal use?
There are two claims from Netherland and an Arab country, but these do not qualify, because there is only one, and they were not produced in numbers that would be usable for regular postal use.
I have collected a number of the smallest stamps from Costa Rica, Colombia and Germany close within 2 mm of the smallest Bolivar 1863 stamp. I also collected a few large stamps, but at present I have not found what would be the largest. I like the Canadian whale stamp.
These stamps were posted in another thread and they are likely candidates for the largest stamp.
Here are two candidates for large. Both were postally used and came in sheets of 6 stamps. The 25c is 86x112mm. The 30c is 105x85mm. Scott values them at $110 and $140. Both can be found for around $40, more or less.
