Hello Forum, this is Demetrio From Rome but in reality born in San Francisco. I'm so shined by graphics and designs of the ancient kind of stamps then half 1800 early 1900. I'm "Specialized" in collection of lettere from italian ancient state 1850/1870.
Recently I have bought an album in a open space market with stamps from this period from more nations, by there now i'm studying the indian and turkey one.
Not having any kind of catalogue i'm searching by the sales of auction houses. If I have to be sincere , is very difficult to understand then i'm here to ask help to catalogue rate and value of some stamps.
Collecting for the enjoyment of collecting, whatever that might be, is the name of the game. Don't hesitate to ask questions especially if you need basic information and especially more advanced sources of information for any possible topic. You should be able to find folks on this board a little further along on their collecting journey glad to share experiences. Russ
Hi Demetrio I am also new, however I am finding the website "stampworld.com" very useful. It is free to register and gives catalogue information for all world stamps.
