@Don, I am tempted to agree with you. It could be on reason that the colour appears slightly different above it.

I am just hoping it was not when the filtered image was generated.

Overlaying images has been a theme in OP's posts.

Don is correct the stamp was from a group scan and was in a mount, it had an effect on the results.
So here is a individual scan with no obstructions,
The depth shadowing has changed a little but I can still spot her.

Again this is called "pareidolia". All of our brains have an ability to find objects in random objects. Faces, clouds, may appear if you look long enough. The faces or clouds that you see, your perspective may cause you to see a different familiar object from what I see. This perspective is why you see something where others may not see anything or identify over-inking, printing methods etc.

All you are doing is proving the ability our brains have,

"All you are doing is proving the ability our brains have,"
Alright, I can live with that.
I understand and respect the suggestions
but I have to disagree with it being "pareidolia" or the great pumpkin.
I have a different reasoning and understanding, giving me a different perspective.

It truly is a fools quest, I understand.
trying to give credit to some dead guy for doing something I find interesting,
I'll stand on my two, and continue to suggest he did something special.

The character's creator, Charles M. Schulz, has said of the character, "Linus, my serious side, is the house intellectual, bright, well-informed which, I suppose may contribute to his feelings of insecurity."
I'll take my chances,
Maybe there was more to the story, behind the scenes. A different perspective.

Still standing here after "most" used Casey as there voice, To express there opinions…I'm alright with that!
It's calculated in the odds Some will, some won't you know.
With this type of situation it's gonna take some time for others (hopefully) to take a look and throughly discuss.
until then…

Call it "big foot" if you want…

Something is very broken when this is a forum "Hot Topic" with over 2600 views and has absolutely zero content of any philatelic worth.

You do realize it works both ways, right?

"We chase phantoms half the days of our lives. It is well if we learn wisdom even then, and save the other half. A man never reaches that dizzy height of wisdom that he can no longer be led by the nose. It is wiser to find out than suppose." Mark Twain

Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.
