Well, the two perfins are definitely not from the same company.

The one with the "T" is from Anker-Teppich (Anchor carpet) in Düren, used from 1893-1898.

The ebay perfin is from Carl Heintze (Gotha) and was in use from 1900-1907. The Brewery Hatt (Anker/Anchor beer) had the same perforation, but the location Gotha leads to Heintze.

That would suggest to me, that the company manufacturing the punch and die machines for the Perfins, were of the same, the designs are so close.
Do we know of a company producing the Punch and Die machines?
Perhaps they had their own Perfin?

For a perfin collector these two anchor designs are not very close.
The additional - bigger - hole in the circle, the parallel/not parallel horizontal and vertical lines, the different number of holes ...
And it's not even proofed that they are from the same perfin machine company.

But ... unfortunately there are some letter combinations where a machine company seems to have saved time and affords, and sold the same tool for more than one costumer. Then you just cannot spot the difference unless you find a complete cover.

The 3 Pfg REICHSPOST is from GOTHA.

Here we go... All images link to larger resolution versions.

First revenue is a Prussian tax stamp from 1925.



The cancel is "Finanzamt" or tax office.

The SnH perfin I'm still trying to find.

The Berlin partial is cut from postal stationer MiNr P31. Here are a few samples on Delcampe. Not sure about the cancel. I'm inclined to say it's genuine, as is the handwriting.

Next revenue is from Prussia, 1896.



Anchor perfin is this one from Anchor Carpet in Düren, 1893-1900.



Next perfin is 1-LKJ-1. User unknown, used in Plauen from 1902-1907.



Last perfin is 1-AM-8. Several users and locations, but based on the stamp, it's one of the last two listed.

Would this help ? I flipped the image PERFIN SnH becomes HuS ?

One would get this format, if the stamps were folded and punctured together.

Argument : The "S" should always have a large looped leg at the bottom, hence my first scan format SnH was in error.

Concerning the HuS perfin there is bad news.

This kind of perforation is listed in the German catalog, and was used in Berlin from 1899 to 1911.

But the user is unknown.

12 years use... Hmmm....there may be a surviving cover with the perfin.
It hasn't been that long for collectors to seriously consider perfins.

Well, "12 years use" doesn't mean, that they have been used during the whole period.
It just tells the oldest and newest known cancellation. But crossing the fingers will help anyway!
