Hello all Stamp Masters,

So my friend in Germany inherited an old suitcase from his grandmother.
Affixed to its side is a stamp from Lebanon, which is not featured in Scott.

I found out from an ebay auction that it is listed in Donald Duston's "French Colonies Revenues" as H #4 (Though that one is rose in color).

Whats the story on these? Was it usual for them to be affixed to suitcases like this?

Thanks Vayolene. I know it's nice that members of this forum share these items with us, but 5 minutes with any translation package (e.g. Google translate) would eliminate most of the obvious questions and bring the remaining questions up to the next level. Remove the "what is this" and start asking "why"?

Thanks for the link vayolene,

this is very helpful!

I just find it fascinating that the stamp in this case is affixed directly to the suitcase, and not on any tags.
