This is the stamp I have used in the intro page of my Mozambique TPO blogs.
It has a Type 3 TPO cancellation and the point of origin is shown starting with CE-something.
I have gone through all the main and branch lines that had TPOs and I can't find a single local with a name starting with CE.
Here it is in the actual page: logo-stamp
Any clues? Lots of eyes and brains better than mine on this group.
Thanks in advance.

Well, to shorten it a little bit, Tony "CEN" or "CEM"

CEMULA ?

I just can't make it out, my friend.
I have some 10 or 12 TPO cancellations in my collection and this is the only super clear one.
And I can't make out on which line it was used.
The Type 3 cancel was only used on the Ressano Garcia Line (from RG to Lourenço Marques) and the Beira Line (from Beira to Machipanda) and there's no station along either line that even comes close to CE+++++. Beats me

Hello Tony Vella,

I found your Mozambique TPO pages fascinating. Thanks for posting the link.

What makes you think this cancellation is TPO-related? Unlike your Beira example it doesn't say ambulancia.

Thank you very much, Nigel, you are 100% correct.
Indeed, it is not a TPO cancel.
I must apologize to one and all for the false alarm and claim senility.
I didn't for one minute notice the difference.
Again, my apologies.

I'll still wager your next paypacket Tony,
that the cancellation is CEMULA

My reasoning that Cemula is the only town listed
with CEM in falling rain, and it is Inhambane
the district of your cancellation.
It was a good geography lesson, Inhambane
first settled by Muslim and Persian traders
dealing in Pearls and Ambergris.

@rod222
I tend to agree with you, mate, I can't think of anywhere else.
Incidentally, betting on MY paypacket will not bring either one of us a step closer to a pied-à-terre in the Latin Quarter, I'm afraid.
