3c ,Canada, 1870 issues- white lines.
There are additional white horizontal lines at upper left side of this 3 c. Canada ,Montreal issues stamp.
Is this difference described and would it be at any interest to collectors ?

They are an artifact of incomplete inking on the plate during the print process. The background is meant for the ink to bleed slightly between the lines, giving an impression of a more solid color to the background. In this case they didn't have enough ink applied to that portion of the design, causing areas without enough ink, hence the white lines. It's a curiosity, but has no real additional value and likely actually detracts slightly from the value to most collectors.

Billsey ,tank you
for your answer.
Could you please coment a nother two one cent stamps from Canada ,1870 .
The first one has a pattern on the right upper corner that bulges in the paper.
Could this be a stitch watermark?
The second one looks like it has a diagonal direction of the lines of the mesh of the paper. I don't know wath is the reason, but isn't it suppose to run in vertical direction?

I believe the first one just has more creasing then the one big one, not unusual at all and definitely not a stitch watermark. The second one looks like the paper from the envelope hasn't been soaked off. Envelopes have diagonal mesh due to the layout when they are cut before folding.

That's a nice precancel (with the 4 vertical lines) on the first 1c stamp you show.

And the "white lines" on the 3c are an interesting printing artifact - quite collectible in my opinion.

The first yellow 1 cent small queen (Scott 35) is a precancel. Which looks like 'D-35-V', and has a 7th Edition catalogue value of Canadian $75.

Billsey tank you again. Every information provided here is quite helpful . I agree that this is the most logical explanation about the differences on the stamp paper .
Gmot. I just over looked it. I agree with you that the stamps with the lines could be a good addition to any collection.
Stamporator you may be right about the cansel .
Thank you for pointing me this detail.
