Watermark Inverted ACSC 2(A)a CV: $50
Keep checking those watermarks ! Sideways Wmks have the big bikkies .... $450
PS: Finding a "slogan postmark" on a 1d Roo is scarce, if you find one with part impression, let us know so I can decipher it.
Also don't discount any "Dumbell shaped smudged" Pmks They could be The Dardenelles (Anzac Cove)

Looking at the second SG2 again, I think it may be a CTO. It has full gum NH on the back. If so, I've probably looked at it 20 times and not put 2 and 2 together pat |

I didn't find any slogan cancels in my 1d duplicates, but these three could be of interest: I like the way that Tasmania goes from taller letters to smaller, then back to taller. Do you have a scan of an entire with this cancel? The second is Ross, Tasmania, dated November 20, 1913. This is a very small town, so scarce ??? The last one is an interesting smudge. Any ideas? |

Bib: Tasmania: Postal History and Markings (Campbell,Purves and Viney 1962) 1. Not seen before, I would be writing to the Hobart Phil. Soc. on that one not in any images I have in my catalogues. Perhaps not a continuous roller canceller die ? 2. ROSS (Need more time to learn how to read the catalogue) Looks like the second allocation of Obliterators (Fig 66 Loose Pmk pages) Located in the image, Take centre of Tasmania as a clock ROSS is at 3 o'clock 3. Suggest an EFO printing variety / smudge from a continuous roller machine cancellation. (You can see it occurring in your Die 2A image Right hand stamp) |

ROSS Pmk Appears common, notes from 1832 Postmasters and Postmistresses : 1899-1904 = Miss J.E.Hall 1905 E. Richards 1906-1912 Miss E. Haines (Compiled by Geo. R. C. Searles) Yours, from a cursory read is ROSS (O) (here I presume O = Office Scope "PO in operation 1900-1912 Their CDS (Circular date stamps) Type 1 CDS (with stops) Date in two lines, day an month in centre,, the year (usually in 2 figures) beneath. They were of state origin Also noted in BLUE 1907 and 1909 PS: ROSS also appears as a Barred 77 numeral on Tassie stamps ebay |

Was there a law that you could not affix a KGV stamp on envelop upside down? |

Quote: (SG35) w/scratch
ACSC 2013 5, 6, 7, (2)e (2)= lower plate Depending on the stamp ID CV : $60- $125 Note: As I read it, not a "scratch" It is a cracked Plate You need the stamp below it to form a cracked plate pair. Ideally a block of 4 The crack begins in the 2d circle and goes North to Adelaide over the 2 stamps.Corrections welcomed. Bib: H. Dormer Legge T.D. Published by Orlo Smith & Co Literature undated. 2½ d Roo SG4 / SG25 / SG36 Don't think the images detailed are listed. Shown for "fly-specking" fun. (Small Island) (Top of Cape York) Known, or "one of" ? (Almost an 'E" ) |

Thanks for sharing your postmarks Patg23 - some nice strikes. That broken value circle on the Kangaroo stamp, ACSC 4(K)h, is quite a spectacular flaw. |
