They ARE postage stamps. What is the point?

I did not ask whether they were postage stamps.
I asked whether they resemble postage stamps.

They look like postage stamps because they are denominated and legal for mailing.

I know the argument you are trying to make. You might as well take a sticker off of your banana and call it a Cinderella if that is where you are going.

So you did get part of the point.

According to some people a rectangular perforated gummed piece of paper that has no postal value and serves no purpose but to seal an envelope (hence the 'Christmas seal') that people stick wherever they like is a cinderella. However, if it is self-adhesive and does not have a rectangular shape or perforations and also is intended to seal an envelope - as it states on the sheet - it is no cinderella.

But hey. Let's start babbling about bananas if it does not fit an entrenched vision on philately.
