Came across this interesting printing defect on NSW Scott 102.It looks like two plate scratches. I believe on engraved stamps a plate scratch would result in inked line rather than a white line. Is this the same for typo stamps? Now that I think about this more, this could be just a couple of hairs stuck to the plate. As my uncle likes to say "Some one was cooking without underwear".

The lower vertical scratch being disturbed slightly by a scanning anomaly.

The hairs would be pretty straight....

I'd go with plate scratches. One way to prove it is to find another!

Great scans !
So nice to see a query, where the evidence is
not a blurry iphone image.

I always found the white patch as Her Majesty's brow, quite strange.
