Early Postage Due Colors

Yes I would say it is. I acquired it quite a while back thinking it could perhaps be a J8, but it isn't--after learning more about how to distinguish the special printings.

I want to highlight wtcrowe's earlier post. For years, I felt that I had the J22 thru J28 in my collection correctly identified. Eventually, I purchased a UV lamp ... and then stumbled across the info that J22 thru J28 fluoresce under longwave UV. Only then did I discover that my J26 was, in truth, a J19. My inability to discern between different shades undoubtedly contributed to my error. In retrospect, I'm a bit surprised that the 10-cent denomination was the only one that I had misidentified.

Thanks. There are several in the numeral series that don't exist
as plate blocks - J2, J4, J5, J8 - J14, J17, J18, and J21.
