Hi all

Have just downsized and now find myself inundated with boxes of items that I am now trying to eliminate in various ways. However my collections of both stamps and coins are posing a bit more of a quandry.

Things like furniture and household items are easy to sell or donate - but finding out values of so many stamps and coins is a daunting process.

I have uploaded a picture of some of the 3 1/2 pence Australian stamps as an example.

I was hoping that I could have some advice as to how to find values for these tiny items that is a relatively easy process.

I'm open to suggestions.

Thanks for reading this

Cheers
Hetka7

Hello. Unless the albums were assembled by someone who spent a little time and money on a collection, the likelihood is that old albums will be childhood material that isn't worth much. The ones you've shown are pretty much penny stamps, and they're damaged. Is there any older material in your accumulation?

Thanks for your very fast response

I am not sure of dates - only that they're older than me (so pretty ancient if older than 1952!)

There are simply so many it's hard to digest - but I do have old ones - just trying to find them

Cheers
H :)

Hi Hetka,
unfortunately, your stamps have no value.
All are damaged,
and if in good condition, we give them away, or swap with other collectors.

I would go to a local stamp club and show it around. If that does not work for you go to a show and ask people who are not busy selling/buying:-) By the way I have piles of stuff like that that people just give me.

Hello.
There are many online catalogs which could give you rough idea wath you own . They may have some small value and as rod222 suggests you could exchange these with a fellow collector.
You could view the online catalog of Stampworld there you could find a descriptions of your stamps.
