I'm pretty sure this stamp and overprint has been explained to me before but I can't seem to find neither the stamp nor the note I must have kept.
Can someone help me ID it again, please?
Thanks in advance.

It's an imperial stamp surcharged to 40 roubles in December 1922. The letters in the star are RSFSR, i.e. the Russian Federation. This was before the declaration of the USSR in 1923.
