A family item that I found on
ebay sent to my great-aunt Min (Hechler) Redmond who lived on Bliss Street in Halifax, NS. She was the daughter of my great-grandfather Halifax collector and dealer Henry Hechler (infamous in some circles for his philatelic creations) and sister of my grandfather, the oldest boy Fritz who started my older brother and I in stamp collecting.
Wilhelmina "Min" Hechler married Charles Redmond in 1914, just in time for him to be shipped off to Europe for the war.
I think these were a popular way of sending greetings back then in part due to the post card rate being cheaper than a letter and people were still sending a lot of mail.
