Quote: but France have ex: 2O21 etc If I understand Scott (and I don't), a sort would normally go: 300 300a (b, c, etc.) 300 A (B, C, etc.) B300 (then suffixes as above) C300 (then suffixes as above) etc. Where would a 2O300 (thats 2, letter O, 300) go? |

The number prefixed O stamps follow directly after the O listings, as they are Official stamps, but intended for specific govt departments.

Ugh. Scott. Why you gotta be this way?
So the possible layouts of a Scott number are:
Number (ex. 304) Number / Letter (ex. 304 b or 304 A) Letter / Number (ex. B304) Letter / Number / Letter (ex. B304a) Number / Letter / Number (ex. 2O34) Number / Letter / Number / Letter (ex. 2O34a)
Are there any more? |

Quote: Are there any more? There could also be a category known as double letter. Example would be US 11Ae or US30Ab. |

And Personal Computer Postage in US lists a 1CVP2Aa, which is getting a bit ridiculous. |

This kind of craziness is why I have not bothered with an Excel script (not to mention the need to support folks who do are not experienced with implementing VBA in Excel)!!

Multiple consecutive letters or numbers aren't a problem. Those hyphens may have to wait for another day, however. |

Quote: Scott and their compartmentalisation is just brilliant! Anyone have an Excel spreadsheet (or piece of one) they'd be willing to send me for testing? Edited: Sorry, Rod, if that came off as rude. Venting at Scott, not you. |

So where would a double letter prefix, say BA, come in relation to single letter prefixes? Between B & C or after Z? |

It certainly did, Postmaster, Hurtful. Very unlike you. Thinking about it, I have been known to vent on Gibbons so getting some of my own back Note to self, if nothing good to say, keep the lips zipped. |
