Quote: It would be interesting to see a study done of which worldwide stamps are needed to make a collection a world class collection . I would definitely select the Kelantan set already mentioned. 3 others I would include in my vote would be: 1937 Aden Dhows definitives complete 1938 North Borneo definitives complete 1952 Angola fish definitives 1938 Hong Kong definitives complete. $5 and $10 should have "decent" gum (not too brown). The Hong Kong set is tricky because of all of the paper, perf, and shade varieties- how complete is complete?? |

It seems like a lot of people have left this board . The postings have dropped off from years past . But one thing is interesting there are still a lot of viewers who come here but they don't post anything . So because of the large viewership I am going to continue posting . There still remains those who like to see interesting stamps and how others collect no matter what level they are at . Here is a set many WW collectors only get the first few lower values but never seen the set complete . |

For what it's worth (not much! haha) I don't post here much at all but I do check out this thread at least once per week. I appreciate what you're sharing and your collecting philosophy is inspiring. |

Hmmm... Sabah... Part V of Scott International. Yup, totally blew by that page :) St. Helena though, I did get completed. A fun set too. I got this working the A-Z stamp booth back in 2012. Will work for stamps ;) |

The Sabah overprints had quite a short shelf-life before being replaced by new local issues for the low values and general Malaysian issues for the higehr values. My sets of both this and the North Borneo issue are missing the top couple of values - good to see them here. |

I still can only use my phone. Still bothers me that an all-hands email was not sent about Don's passing. To me he WAS this forum in a nutshell. |
