I also purchased a Spain lot on Scott Specialty pages, for $75.

Wow! Great find.

Very nice. When do we get to see your U.S. early classic stamps?

Nick ---It will be a long time before I do U.S. , .I was 16 years old and saved my money to buy U.S. stamps ,after 3 months I had $18.00 . Went to a stamp store in Chicago and the owner gave me a great deal . He sold me U.S.Classic stamps at 10% off catalog prices . I was so happy that I now had valuable stamps in my album .
About a year later ,I took my W.W. album to a stamp club meeting , I started showing my U.S. classics .

Surprise ----surprise that was the day I learned what thins are , learned what straight edges are and learned about the low value of heavy canceled stamps are worth . There was two or three other bad experiences invouling U.S. stamps so I shut down any U.S. interest .

Wow, sorry to hear that story. I couldn't find a thread where anyone is showing general U.S. classics, outside of the very specific threads for certain series. I may start my own to show what I've been up to and would love to see others pages.

Nick ------Looking forward to seeing your U.S. material .

What really makes this site interesting is seeing what others are collecting and what they are doing .
