Exactly. Albumeasy is a great little program for what I am trying to do; make Bigblue like supplementary pages. However, I want the pagemaking to be templated as much as possible. I wish I can just set up an albumeasy album with a templated bigblue like page with similar borders and fonts and spacings etc and then I can just copy over the stampboxes that I need from Steiner pages ( conserving the description and stampbox) to each albumeasy page.That way I can quickly set up the page the way I want and just print the pages.

JORGESURCL --- Confirm I also collect up to 1970 on most countries .but if something later comes my way at no cost or very little cost I will mount it and add it to my albums .

Also want to state that I collect alot of stuff outside of the listings in the catalog's like various shade differences .

Where did your stamp collection start ?

Most stamp collectors started as worldwide collectors . It was that first mixture or packet you received that got you interested to continue .

I had a few duplicates given to me for free ,because the other younger boys got bored and left , of the older boys trading stamps with each other on the front porch . I was given a few extras . Took those home to show everybody at home .

My first purchase was the offer found in the last pages of BOY'S LIFE magazine at out local library . It was 100 stamps for 10 cents with approvals .Now that 10 cents was a big purchase if you concider how much penny candy it can buy in 1957 .

Off went my big investment , what I received a week later was some of these stamps shown below ,they were all C-T-O's but that was the start and was so proud that a few stamps were part of a set . That was the start and it was off to the races of looking for collecting sets to mount in my albums .

New year ,new attitude ---- Plan to use 2025 as a year to organize collection better , new binders ,reduce a few boxes of material that has been sitting around , and buy fewer stamps but better stamps . Also take a few boxes up North to place in a stamp auction .

Remember .I am going down my own path ,there is no guidelines or trying to follow those great collectors of the past . This is all new territory .Got to stay positive and go into this with a positive mind set .

Happy New Year, Floortrader. I really enjoy reading you and getting your take on the inner workings of building a truly amazing collection. I enjoy seeing all these complete sets you are showing and appreciate even more the out of the ordinary stamps you display.

I enjoy putting up pages from my collection as much as you enjoy viewing them . My point in showing these pages is the hope new collectors understand how it is lay out and presented ,also to see material you most likely never seen before . Another important point is that the cost can be low enough that for a dollar or two nice pages can be made .

I also see that the viewership has increased and that should be a positive plus for the Stamp Community . If I read the numbers correctly we had 500 viewers to this page over the last two days .

Building a massive worldwide collection is not made with high price stamps . What stops most collectors is the realization than it is job of tens of thousands of pages like this . Not high price gems but the common worldwide stamps ,but to me it is the challenge of staying on the path and having the daily satisfaction that your one step closer to where you want to go .
