Here is a page that will never be filled with stamps unless I won the lottery . I can tell you Worldwide stamp collecting is not a hobby for those who want every page filled . 65 years later still have a lot of empty spaces of minimum value stamps .
See the catalog value of those 4 stamps written on the page .

Lovely set floortrader

I also have promised myself to spend more time on stamps.

I have made great progress on mounting my collection from Denmark in the last week or so.

Thank you Dianne .

I got tired of looking at all the blank spaces in my albums . About two years ago , I pick up a auction lot that was filled with glassines . The former owner only saved complete sets ,which was a joy for me to work with .

So it became a new thing to work on . Enjoying the journey filling up pages .

floortrader, It is likely that you have one of the most complete WW collections in the world. Another consideration is capping the value of what you will spend on a single stamp.

Greendragon ----- Thanks for the positive note .

I will always view myself as just a" Worldwide Stamp Collector " That is what I was at 12 years old and hope to be when I am 80 years old . Still working on having a decent size WW collection . Never wanted to be "stamp expert ".

On the subject of spending money or a lot of money for a stamp is not what my goals are . Yes there are certain stamps I would like to have but that list is small . This past month I reach one of my goals and purchased a almost complete collection of Netherlands Syncopated stamps .My list has a few items still to go .There is enough "cheap " material out there that will keep me interested for years to come .

It is not the value of my collection that is important as much as how well the organisation the whole thing is ,it must be so well design that anything can be found in minutes and it is layed out that you can follow what your looking at .

@floortrader - what will make you change your call of a decent WW collection to some other designation? Seeing some of the material you have shown, are showing and will show, I believe that your collection is way above decent be it by sheer size alone, level of completeness with some stamps without being great rarities are still rare in their own way and are just plain missing in some/most collection.

floortrader - sorry for the confusion. It is my fault. I did not mean your cap on a single stamp. I should have put for WW collectors. I have seen collectors put caps on what they will spend for a single stamp. I agree with mirman, you are way past decent.

Mirman and Greendragon ------ The thinking of showing my progress with collecting stamps and what I was doing would inspire others to continue building their own collection .

floortrader yes absolutely. I still believe that this is the best WW thread in existence. The stamps and discussion are the draw.
