South Sudan Sc 1-2 issued 9th July 2011. South Sudan became an independent state on 9 July 2011, following a referendum that passed with 98.83% of the vote. A £2.50 stamp was produced but not sold in South Sudan.

Kyrgyzstan Express Post Sc 1-4 issued 18th November 2014. Kyrgyz Express Post (KEP) is the 2nd designated postal operator in Kyrgyzstan. The 1st issue is dedicated to the 140th anniversary of the UPU.

Afghanistan, Kingdom of Kabul #1. The date of the first issue is not known. There are many minor design variations in the early stamps and forgeries are commonplace: this example has been described as 'early Afghanistan or a copy thereof'.

Alsace and Lorraine SG #1/Sc N8. These stamps, issued by the North German Confederation, were used generally in occupied France during the Franco-Prussian War 1870-71, but are particularly associated with Alsace and Lorraine.

Chinese Treaty Port - Amoy Sc/SG #1 issued June 8, 1895. Treaty Port post offices were set up by foreign traders to save the expense of the existing private mail services.

Annam and Tonkin SG1 Sc1 issued 21st January 1888. Part of French Indo-China, bordering Siam. Overprints on French Colonies were used until 1892 when they were replaced by stamps of Indo-Chin

Angola SG7 Sc1 issued July 1, 1870. Portuguese colony on the Atlantic coast of Africa, bordered by Congo, Zambia, and Namibia. Independence was granted in 1975 as the People's Republic of Angola.

Anjouan Sc 1/ SG 1 issued 1st November 1892. In 1886 France established a protectorate over the island; slavery was abolished in 1899, and in 1912, following the forced abdication of the last sultan, France formally annexed the island.

Antigua Sc/SG #1 issued Friday, August 1, 1862. A British West Indies colony in the Leeward Islands group. Printed by Perkins, Bacon & Co. in sheets of 120. Only 8000 copies were issued.

Argentina - Corrientes Sc 1/ SG-P56 issued 21st August 1856. An Argentinian province that issued stamps before the Argentinian Confederation itself.
