If you have access to a catalogue, Alwar is likely found under Indian States.

It was issued in 1877 and according to Stanley Gibbons has 4 varieties.

You would rotate the stamp right/clockwise 90 degrees for display.

I claim no expertise on these. Does anyone think that the lines look a little "thick" or coarse?

Agree, but not a specialist.
The circles in the corners look a tad out of shape.

The poster's image is poor, perhaps the perforations look a tad large as well?

All I have is Tony MacGillycuddy's "Uglies" image

I cannot say for sure this stamp is mine, going by the naming it is.
I need to get out my album from the cobwebs.
Maybe another "doubtful"?
