This image combines a two pence stamp from Bobby De La Rue's DLR thread with one of mine.

John S. White (The Postal History of New South Wales 1788-1901) lists this type as recorded for a small number of towns but there is no mention of Queanbeyan.

Rod222, Thanks for adding all of that information. You have some nice Queensland two line registered handstamps - not easy to find clear full strikes like those.

Bobby De La Rue - thanks for sharing your early NSW - surprising that White hadn't seen a Bathurst. Is the second one Tambaroora near Hill End?

The Tamworth handstamp reminded me that I had this, the Registered handstamp from Newtown.

Good to see that Newtown example of yours Bobby De La Rue - the only one not illustrated of the four noted as recorded by White.

An internet search found this one on cover at https://auctions.leski.com.au/lot-d...th-superb-tr
