This part imperf 2016 Christmas booklet #5144a arrived today mixed in with a discount postage auction lot. I can't find any mention of vertical imperf pairs in my 2020 Scott specialized, on ebay or on Google. Have any of these been discovered before? Thanks! Here is a close up of part of the booklet;

The booklet you have is miscut, not imperforated in between. A miscut pane may be listed in Scott or known by booklet collectors

This would probably go as 2 Vertical pairs, horizontally imperforated between (from booklet), once it enters the Scott Specialised. The sheet cutter was off by a full row (interestingly precisely one row, I do not see clipped die cuts.
I have not seen a similar item. Make sure it is tagged and not a Chinese Knock-off...
/add Thanks to the post below. I didn't think of the press sheets at all... |

This stamp was available in Press Sheets of 8 booklet panes, imperf between the panes. Gutter pairs between the booklets, imperforate pairs, and other shenanigans exist depending on how people cut apart the press sheets into individual items. It is not an error or even a postal miscut, it was cut up that way by a collector (or speculator). Sorry. (USPS product number 681206, Press Sheet with Die-cut, $75.20). |

Something is not right here. There is clearly extra liner sticking out along the top and bottom edge, so this pane was clearly intentionally made by someone from a piece of uncut web. As far as I know, they did not issue uncut press sheets for this issue, so it must be from printer's waste. |

I considered uncut press sheets, but I can't see anyway of cutting the sheet to have an imperf row that aligns with the non stamp label portion.
Yes, Petert - I agree, I should have described this as a miscut that results in imperf pairs. |

This is a gutter pane made from 2 panes of the press sheet. Scott no longer lists these.
Zebra Man has already provided the original USPS order number for the uncut press sheet. |

Zebra's post appeared while I was composing mine - I didn't realize Scott no longer listed them
anyway, consensus is it is a creation, not an error |
