There is some pattern tath resembles very much to a thin vertical lines tath runs across the left side of this 3 cent Large Queens, 1868 ,Canada, stamp.
Wath could be the reason, for this patern to appear on the back of the stamp?

Something printed on the envelope that transferred to the stamp. On a used stamp there is no telling most of the time

This reminds me of your recent inquiry regarding a Russian stamp. Are they all from the same source/collection?

Thank you, Peter. I see these
often on other Canada stamps in my collection. Some times there located at left ,some times at ride side of the back of the stamp.

No,rodcam. This stamp is ,from a stamp dealer. The Russian stamps all come ,from a big collection mainly European stamps tath I bought 20 years ago. There were all in used condition, in very large quantities - filled in a shoe box.

When you're able, I'd be interested to see a scan of the entire back of the stamp. Your images are quite good, but sometimes
"less detail and more stamp" is also a help.
