As per my experience last week,
I get a parcel of circa 5000 stamps from an unknown collector,
asking for similar. (just out of the blue)
Just bundled into a large envelope, bent, creased, and all sorts.
Now that is fine with me, I accept just about anything
but I would say I already have 4,900 of the stamps at a cursory look.

I have asked, by snail mail, if I should return or what

I try to keep just 5 regular swappers, whom I can rely on and get
at least, "on par" exchanges.

Having beginners is also, good as you can donate the more common
as a gift to get them started.

Hey Cjd, I have a total mish mash of eras, and they range from the 1800;s to the present. I don't try to sort anything out, except keeping it pretty much refined to the regular definitive size, and I remove any damaged. My collecting has evolved into common definitive stamps with different shades - tints, printing varieties which seem mostly uncatalogued, and CDS and other cancels, all on the same stamp.

I have pages of US #720, with hundreds of this 'same' stamp. but they are all different, and my worldwide collection is drifting in the same direction.

Hey rod222, yeah exactly! I am just casting about looking for more traders with similar definitive stamp collecting interest. I am on other sites and have connected with a few other traders who seem to also enjoy this type of trading - collecting.

250 small definitives will go First Class letter rate in a #10 envelope inside a folded letter sized sheet of paper or glassine, and are not as overwhelming as larger amounts of stamps can tend to be.

This type of drfinitive variety collecting is not for everyone, but we do exist and I am seeking them out.

OK, I removed it but it is my business address, and it is published in Linn's several times a year - for years into the past...

I assume the mods would swoop in and rap your knuckles with a ruler, like the nuns in a Catholic elementary school. (One could say that they have a habit of doing that.)

If I'm wrong on that, perhaps one of them will drop by and say "post away" (but I doubt it).

A preferred chastisement at my (non-RC) primary school was the ruler across the palm, expertly delivered by Sheila "Tommy Gun" Thompson. I took more of a battering at primary than secondary school.
