Very nice stamps, I just started a US airmail with the common ones. What I like about this forum I find information all the time on foreign stamps that I did not realize were airmails. Thanks to all! |

I think a worldwide airmail stamp collection can be a nice way to get exposure to, and learn about, many foreign countries, but yet have more of a focus compared to a general worldwide collection. You can even focus further and just collection classic (1840-1940) WW airmails |

Being a collector of aircraft on stamps, I have many airmail issues. However. I thought I would include the early issues from New Zealand that I don't see on this thread. Some lovely airmail stamps posted on this thread. This set of three stamps was the first airmail issue by NZ released in 1931. A short while later two more were issued in a different colour, one being a Trans-Tasman issue and the other to take care of a change in postage rate. This was called a 'provisional'. In 1935, a new set of three were issued. |

Londonbus, love those Isle of Wight and Palestine stamps. There is something attractive about some of those early airmail and aviation themed stamps. |

My favorite. Italy Scott C27 from one of the mass flights by Italo Balbo in 1931. And another Balbo, Scott C49 triptych, showing the Colosseum at Rome and the Chicago skyline (1933). |
