Photo etched cachets, like those printed by Artcraft, are commonplace. Far scarcer are covers that feature engravings produced by security printing companies.

I only have two in my collection -- one printed by the Bureau of Engraving & Printing and another by the British American Bank Note Company. Are there other examples out there? I'd be interested in seeing more.

No response to this, yet? I did find another cover recently by British American Bank Note Co. It's fairly generic, but definitely printed in intaglio.

Several more of this type of cachet has come to my attention in the past couple weeks. I believe most or all of these were printed by Mike Bean, a former plate printer for the Bureau of Engraving & Printing. He has his own intaglio press and was able to print high quality engraved products from his home workshop.

The Washington 2006 cachets are unused, but I think they were intended for FDCs of the three stamps released as a souvenir sheet at the show: Scott 4075. I would be interested in seeing cancelled examples if anyone has them.
