i saw this red brown hair variety on #1164; according to my experience, the cyan is missing by the jewelry on Queen s chest, any comment ?

It may not be missing, but just lightly printed. The best well to tell is to get a list of the colors the stamp was printed in and look for them one by one. If they are all present (no matter how light) then it is not an error - just an inking variety. Impossible to tell if there is a color missing from a scan.

Probably way off base here, but comparing the borders of the Queen's head in both stamps, it looks like, to me anyways, like the top stamp is embossed or added to the stamp.

Look on the outline on the left side of the head, just below the crown. Way different on both stamps.

Apples to apples?

Looking at my 2009 Unitrade catalog, could you be trying to compare Unitrade 1164 (British American Bank Note, GT4, Harrison paper, perf 13.1 x 12.8) against a Unitrade 1164a (Ashton-Potter, Slayton paper, perf 13.1 x 13.6)?

The perf rates between your two stamps doesn't seem off by enough for this, but they clearly differ from each other by a small amount and the hole diameter seems slightly different too.

Now that you mention it, there are a lot of funky chemical changelings for sale on ebay right now (fortunately mostly identified as such). That might also explain what you are seeing if the stamp has been fiddled with.
