Gibran Khalil Gibran (Jubran) (1883 - 1931) was a Lebanese-American artist, poet, and writer. His best known work is the book "The Prophet", tells about the prophet, Al-Mustafa, who discusses with group of people topics such as life and the human condition. The book dealing with many aspects of life like love, marriage, children, work, good and evil, death and many more. I love very much this book and I still keep a copy of it translated to Hebrew.

I use to keep stamps that I like and think are attractive or important to me although they are not belong to my collections. One such set is about the book "The Prophet" issued by Lebanon in 1983. The stamps show Gibran's original illustrations for the book.

@rod222, thanks for the information on the identification (I didn't know it)
I think my stamp is Sc.117.
What worries me is the "E" under the gap ; at 117 shouldn't "I" be under the gap?

Hi Cupram
sorry if I confused you.
Let's go with the top Arab Script.

#117 is wide Arab Script (E under gap) (as your example)

#144 is condensed Arab Script (i under gap)

While I have you Does there exist a GOOD Romania catalogue in English?

I have not heard that it exists in English.
I don't think it would be economical for anyone to be interested in translating and publishing a Romanian catalog in English.
I think you have K.Dragomir's catalog.
