Welcome.

What can you tell us about your collection? Do you know who assembled it? Are the stamps displayed in albums? Are they sitting in envelopes?

Keep in mind that there are many stamps that are over 100 years old that are still only worth pennies a piece.

blackstamp2023,

Enjoy having fun with stamps! That is the name of this game. Wonderful you are carrying on your father's collection. You are the next steward of a family treasure you can pass on to future generations. Its value as a family heirloom wil always surpass it monetary value.

Collecting for the enjoyment of collecting, whatever that might be, is the name of the game. Don't hesitate to ask questions especially if you need basic information and especially more advanced sources of information for any possible topic. You should be able to find folks on this board a little further along on their collecting journey glad to share experiences.

My personal bias is a used stamp loses the story of its journey in the postal service when it is removed from the cover it transported to its destination. Collecting postal history adds a whole new aspect to your journey in our hobby.

Wishing you many enjoyable future days in our hobby. Russ

Thank you all for your replies, How can I find Catalogs?, I have more than 500 stamps from all over, to name a few countries: Ecuador, Colombia, Brazil, Mexico, USA, Canada, UK, France, Italy, Congo, India, Israel, China, Australia, very few interesting ones from Ussr, Yugoslavia and many more. My grandfather collected them, more than 40 years ago, so I have some in albums, other just laying around, some taken from real letters. I wanted to start by showing some from South America. I am glad to hear your thoughts, and beforehand thank you for all the help.

P.S. Sorry for the awful background

The multiples are a good indication you have highly common stamps. The value is in the variety of stamps. They will not be worth much money.

You might try this site.

Are you actually planning to start a collection? Value is not usually that important for beginning collectors, though it is important to know if you have something special. It looks like you mostly have common stamps but the Mexico Exporta stamps can become an interesting and fun (and challenging) area to collect. And, yes, a basic catalog would be something very helpful to you. You should be able to find some for relatively low prices online, but I can imagine the shipping costs to Ecuador could be high. Hopefully someone here may offer you a solution.
