The 1966 cancel on this South Africa stamp says "DROMMEDARIS."
Haven't found any place there with that name, but Drommedaris was the name of Dutch navigator Jan van Riebeeck's ship that was pictured on the early South Africa stamp issues. Could this stamp have been posted from the 20th Century Drommedaris replica ship that was in South Africa or from some other marine vessel bearing that name? Would appreciate any help with this puzzler.

Drommedaris was a post office in Pretoria, but I have no idea whether it still exists.

On a philatelic note, one of the more common Union of South Africa definitives, the 1d ship stamp which went through various printings between 1926 and 1954, featured the Drommedaris (also spelt Dromedaris) sailing into Table Bay.
