3 weeks ago pegle_81 bought a cheap plate block and has never paid despite repeated invoices (my terms say payment is due within 2 weeks). [strangely, my awaiting payment shows the sale date as 3 days ago - that may be the last time I sent an invoice]

Tonight I trued to file an unpaid item case. All I could find was Cancel Order (which is not what wanted) or Report Buyer, so I picked the latter and none of the 4 choices applied, but above those choices It said "If your buyer hasn't paid, please open an unpaid item case." Sounded like exactly what I wanted, but when I took that link it said "Cancellation
What's your reason for cancelling?"
and the 3 reasons they let you choose from are
Out of stock or damaged
Buyer asked to cancel
Issue with buyer's shipping address
None have anything to do with buyer not paying.

I went to his feedback and another seller in the last month left the message "Bid and won 19 items. Failed to pay."

So the guy is a repeat offender, but my only choice is to cancel the sale with a bogus reason and then leve similar feedback that by ebay's rule has to be "positive"????

Check to see if he is still a registered user as ebay may have killed the registration. Otherwise call ebay customer service and they may give you some back channel information such as just cancel the sale as they are aware of the failures to pay.

As a buyer, I have been refunded by ebay after payment because they determined the seller was a problem and killed his registration. Its bad enough that he was selling broken items as new, but selling it to several buyers at once.

He is clearly still a registered user as they would have told me he was not instead of showing me his feedback. I am not a big seller, so I do not have one of those special numbers I can call and I don't know how to find a number. I was just hoping someone here knew a way to report a non-payer.

Despite what the article says, "Buyer hasn't paid" is not in the drop down menu.
only
Out of stock or damaged
Buyer asked to cancel
Issue with buyer's shipping address

It would be in the "Cancel Order" menu, not the "Report Buyer" menu.

After 4 days the "Buyer has not paid" shows up in the cancel item selections. When you cancel for non-payment the buyer automatically gets an unpaid item strike.

I can't stand non payers so I go 1 step further and block them, and if I'm really annoyed I call and report them. This often gets action.

I have a filter that will not let bidders with 2 unpaid strikes in the last 6 months bid on my items. I wish all sellers would use this filter and then maybe bidders would think twice before becoming a deadbeat!

Thank you Ken. I appear to have made a tactical error by sending another invoice a few days ago which apparently reset the 4 day clock. I should get the "Buyer has not paid" option tomorrow.
