Cherrystone has one in their July auction - it was sold by Siegel in 2006 for $40,000 + fees. Who wants to buy this for me? I'm sure I need it to continue my research. Kidding, but nice to see there is at least one intact complete album in existence.

As an aside, the remaining set of changes to the Scott catalog for Roosevelt album proofs should be getting made in the 2024 edition. James Lee has been most helpful in trying to make this happen. Hopefully all the remaining changes will make it in.

Of course like all things, the quest is will it remain intact. In philately when dealers are involved, big goes to small as small is often more money to the dealer.

I once held the strip of 5 of Scott 389, largest mint strip surviving of the Orangeburg Coil while visiting the last COLLECTOR to own it. From there to a dealer and into pieces. Hope your resting in peace, Phil.

HamiltonPhilatelic.org claims that "there are about 14 intact albums in existence". Not sure when the article was written.

Siegel also sold an intact album in 2013. This Linn's from 2015 article speaks of that sale and states that census numbers in 2014 showed 15 intact albums.

The Leupp album has made the rounds having been sold by Cherrystone in 2010 prior to the 2013 Siegel sale....

....and again in 2012.

The Shelby M. Cullom album was sold by Spink in 2006.

Christie's sold an intact album in 1997. No way of knowing if it is one of the albums sold by Siegel later on. The description does not have the owners name in it as with the other two discussed above.
