I don`t know if this subject is closed. However, here is how I can identify a single stamp reprint from the original print:
The inscription "Canada" on each stamp has improved considerably. In fact the white specks within the lettering are well defined. On the 1st print, they are not clearly defined.
By the way, I also noticed some minor color shifts on both prints. On some Atlantic Walrus stamps, the wavy lines run closer or through the hidden date "2005".
Oh darn!...Petermac was talking about the souvenir sheet. So I still don't know if CP sent me the right pages, and now it's well over the time that I can send it back.
I'll check for the differences that Major1044 was talking about. I really hope it's the reprint. I already sent it back once.
There's more information on the original printing and the two reprints of this issue under the title "reprint of the 1688-1689 walrus/deer" in this Canadian portion of the forum.
