Hi,

I know alot about early stamps but not much about more modern stamps. I have a Red Box crammed full of Wilding stamps and trying to find out how much they are worth. I know that people do collect Elizabethan issues and the Wilding Definitives are collected due to the number of varieties found in the issue.

I took a brief look thru and saw glassines of Winnipeg Tagged, Pre-cancel, Booklet panes, etc. Here's a couple of pics.

I have asked around and I don't think the Wilding Used have much value, if any at all.

I'd start it at 99 cents and see where it goes.

I have a 2012 Brookman catalog that includes Canada.
It shows what @jimjung said, the used have minimal value.

But your photos appear to show some unused.
Catalog values above $5:
337p 1c Tagged, Wide Side Bars (A), blank plate block $6.75
338a 2c miniature pane of 25, pack of 2 $9.00
338p 2c Tagged, Wide Side Bars (A), blank plate block $6.75
339p 3c Tagged, Wide Side Bars (A), blank plate block $6.75
340p 4c Tagged, Wide Bar in Middle (B), blank plate block $19.75
341b 5c miniature pane of 20, pack of 1 $8.25
341p 5c Tagged, Wide Side Bars (A), blank plate block $21.50

You should know that stamps usually sell for less than catalog value,
but the above might help you find the more valuable ones,
and then you could look them up on ebay Sold Items using the Scott catalog number.

You could try contacting Robert J. Elias who studies the Wildings. Used stamps with different papers and postmarks can help in determining usage periods. To a specialist, there is much in looking at duplicates for research and study. See: https://bnaps.org/books/bookdetails.php?bookid=131

Yes, the value would be for the specialist.

E.g. some of the tagged stamps and booklet panes are on scarce (e.g. HB type) papers.

It would take time to go through them with a good UV lamp.

Selling as a lot won't get you much unless you have some idea if it contains some of the scarcer paper varieties.

Used are worth less than mint as soaking can have an effect on fluorescence, but dated cancels can offset that somewhat.
