Hi,

I may need to move out and I have a number of stampbooks. I cannot just take them via airplane, it will be costly.
I understand the "humidity" issues so I plan to pack them in plastic but then I thought of another issue. It will be damn hot on the cargo no ? so what are the chances that the stamps will glue on the stampbook ?

I assume I am not the first that is moving a collection so what suggestions/advices do you have besides putting them in a waterproof foil and keeping them closed.

Thanks,
Adrian

A good answer depends on 1) what you mean by "stampbook" (hingeless album? stockbook? etc), and 2) depending on the first answer, how they are mounted.

[quote] @classic_paper [quote] stampbook == stockbook. No hinge or any way of sticking to the stockbook

[quote] @51studebaker [quote] Ty for the desiccant idea. About the plastic bags, you mean put the stockbook in plastic bag or only the stamps ?
I am actually thinking about taking them from the stockbooks and put them in some stock sheets. However that will cost me a lot and not sure if is not an overkill :D
